Mark Jiles
President and CEO |
Mark has over 20 years of experience in government relations, strategic communications and related fields. He has extensive experience in handling complex multi-stakeholder issues, opportunities and conflict resolutions. His understanding of the way government works at the provincial and municipal levels is extremely valuable to his clients. Mark’s unique skill set has made him a trusted advisor to some of Canada and British Columbia’s top companies, associations, not for profit organizations as well as film and entertainment companies.
Over the years, Mark has had volunteer positions with the BC Children’s Hospital Miracle Network, Variety BC Telethon, BC Sports Hall of Fame Board of Directors, 2005 and 2010 CFL Vancouver Grey Cup Organizing Committees and the 2005 World Junior Hockey Championships to name a few. Prior to starting Bluestone Government Relations Mark worked for the Labatt Breweries, Molson Indy Vancouver and NBA Vancouver Grizzlies. Mark lives in Vancouver with his wife and three girls and he enjoys coaching and watching his girls play hockey, volleyball and softball. |
Rob Nagai

Rob Nagai has been active in municipal, provincial and federal politics for over two decades holding different positions within the BC NDP. He has built relationships across the political spectrum from municipal councillors to MLAs throughout British Columbia. In 2011, Rob was hired by the BC NDP, to undertake fundraising within the business community. In that role, he worked tirelessly to build a culture of corporate gifts - almost from ground zero.
He recruited, trained and supervised a team to work contributions from the corporate sector where he worked closely with the support of Party Leaders, Carole James, Adrian Dix and John Horgan, and many BCNDP MLAs and candidates - centrally raising over $7 Million. In 2018, he joined Bluestone Government Relations and found success, working closely with clients from numerous industries in helping them build their government relations programs in Victoria. Rob has volunteered for numerous MLAs, City of Burnaby’s Committees, the United Way Workplace campaign, and Cliff Avenue United FC coaching his son’s soccer team. Rob lives in North Burnaby with his wife Heather and his son Rory. |
Rob Mingay, Vice President

Rob comes to Bluestone Government Relations after a long career in the public and private sectors. Most recently Rob was Vice President of Woodfibre LNG where he was responsible for Regulatory Affairs, Government Relations, Communications, and Indigenous Relations.
Prior to that he served in multiple roles in the BC Government. This included Special Advisor to the Premier on Labour Relations and Executive Director Premiers LNG Working Group, made up of Labour, LNG Proponents and First Nations. He was also Assistant Deputy Minister Ministry of Finance, Labour Relations at the Public Sector Employers Council and Assistant Deputy Minister, Workforce, Immigration and Major Investments Office. He has worked under both BC Liberals and BC NDP governments. Additionally, Rob has worked for governments in Ontario (Premiers office) and Manitoba. In his work in Government Relations, Rob has advised Alcan (Rio Tinto), The Canadian Bankers Association, BC Wineries, Grocery Product Manufacturers of Canada, Intrawest, Insurance Bureau of Canada, General Electric, Encorp Pacific and BC Gas (Fortis), among others. His deep background in the public and private sectors gives him a unique insight into the workings of government and a clear eyed perspective on the challenges facing the private sector and non governmental organizations. |
Dennis Marsden

Dennis has over 8 years in government relations and serves as a City Councillor for the City of Coquitlam for the past 6 years. A self-professed Policy Wonk, he has authored or co-authored numerous policies and position papers on topics ranging from investment policy, tax policy, foreign credential recognition to amendments of Provincial tax policy as it relates to homeowners and homebuyers and utilization of provincial lands for the delivery of economic development and core service delivery.

Marilyn Marchment

Marilyn brings over 25 years of strategic communications and community engagement experience in both the public and private sectors to the Bluestone team. As Principal of big think communications Inc., she helps clients plan for the future, define their vision, manage complex challenges, and support leadership teams. Big Think partners with organizations to ensure alignment, tell compelling stories, build stakeholder relationships, and navigate opportunities.
Her public sector experience includes work with Shared Services BC, Fraser Health, several school districts, and municipalities. She has also collaborated with Tsleil-Waututh Nation and Kwikwetlem First Nations Enterprises. Marilyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology and a post-graduate certificate in public relations, and currently serves on the Douglas College Board and as Vice-Chair of the Canadian MPS Society. |
Marie-Claude Jiles,
Controller and Financial Advisor |
Marie-Claude has over 10 years in government relations and 10 years experience in prior business ownership and serves as our controller and financial advisor for Bluestone Government Relations Inc.
She is also a devoted mother to three girls who are extensively invested in sports such as Hockey, Softball and Volleyball. Marie-Claude speaks English, French and Spanish and an avid Tennis Player. |
